Raised by teachers, Steve Powers was born to serve. Hard work, fighting for the underdog, being fair in all you do, and helping others are values that were instilled in him by his parents at a very young age. His paternal grandfather-–a man who, at times, worked three jobs to put food on the family table–passed along his work ethic, while his maternal grandfather–-a WWII veteran who owned a number of service stations–-passed along his entrepreneurial spirit.
Steve’s career in the financial services industry began in 2001, at the trough of one of the worst markets in modern American history. His ability to connect with hardworking, Main Street Americans has been a staple throughout his career.
Steve has served on the boards of various non-profit organizations since the late 1990s. He has been married since 1998 and has two children. He has also coached hundreds of youth athletes over the past 20-plus years, and continues to coach his children’s athletic teams today. He’s an avid fisherman and music lover, and is a loyal Green Bay Packers, Milwaukee Brewers and University of Wisconsin fan.
